Celtic 0 - 1 Motherwell
Celtic lost. The season is over. I’m too depressed to write anymore about it.

Neil Lennon has joined the Celtic coaching staff full-time. He will be working with the first-team squad. What a great addition, and at the right time. The team needs a lift, and who can give them a much needed boost but Lenny? Hopefully with his help, we can overcome the Huns and make this 3-in-a-row.
Celtic are now 6 points behind Rangers who still have a game in hand after today’s derby loss.
The first half was some of the greatest play I have seen from Celtic this year. Even though it didn’t create all that many chances, it was fun and exciting to watch. Vennegoor of Hesselink shot wide early on when McGeady left the Ranger’s fullback in his wake and put the cross into the box.
The next chance came from a long ball from Caldwell that was headed into the path of the onrushing Scott Brown by Samaras. As Brown careened into the box, his legs were caught by the Ranger’s defender and was unable to get a good shot away and his feeble shot was saved by McGregor. It should have been a penalty to the Bhoys, but the ref Dougal is a hun. Brown had several more chances that were not converted.
On the 45 minute mark, Rangers scored. It was probably the only actual piece of football they actually did all day. It would be the first and only goal on the day. After that, the game was over. Celtic did not look convincing after the break. It was disappointing.
Stephen McManus is set to captain the Scottish national team in their game against Croatia in the absence of Barry Ferguson. Ferguson is one of seven players who withdrew ahead of the match. Several were due to injury, including Dailly (Gers) and Robson (Celtic). But Ferguson only plays for Scotland in the big games, and most certainly not before the Old Firm match on the weekend. Wanker.
If you follow the SPL, you know that Gretna has been in some financial troubles lately. Their players haven’t been paid and some are refusing to play because of the lack of medical insurance that the team has right now.
At today’s game, a ‘Tic fan is seen offering a Gretna player a wad off cash. You’ve got to love in ingenuity of the fans.
